Whether you're committing to salads all January or just looking to mix up your veggie game, this New Year Dumpling Detox Salad is the perfect blend of crisp, colorful greens and bold, satisfying flavors.  


Dumpling Detox Salad

Ingredients:


  • Pork Dumplings (Trader Joe's) – steamed or pan-fried

  • Fish Sauce – 1 tbsp

  • Soy Sauce – 1 tbsp

  • Lime – juice of 1 lime

  • Garlic – 2 cloves, minced

  • Ginger – 1 tsp, minced

  • Shredded Carrots – 1 cup

  • Scallions – 2, thinly sliced

  • Cilantro – ¼ cup, chopped

  • Cabbage Blend Mix – 1 bag (about 3 cups-Trader Joe's Kale & Cabbage Blend)

  • Honey or Chili Sauce – 1 tsp (optional for sweetness or spice)

  • Sriracha or other seasonings – to taste


Instructions:


Dumpling Detox Salad
  1. Prepare the Dressing:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together:

      • 1 tbsp fish sauce

      • 1 tbsp soy sauce

      • Juice of 1 lime

      • 1 tsp honey or chili sauce (optional to taste)

      • Sriracha (optional to taste)

  2. Prepare the Salad:

    • In a large bowl, combine:

      • Cabbage blend mix

      • Shredded carrots

      • Scallions

      • Cilantro

      • Minced garlic

      • Minced ginger

  3. Mix the Dressing and Salad:

    • Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture.

    • Toss well to combine.

  4. Cook the Dumplings:

    • Steam or pan-fry the pork dumplings according to the package instructions.

    • Add the cooked dumplings to the salad and gently mix.

  5. Serve:

    • Add sriracha or other seasonings to taste.

    • Serve immediately for a fresh, flavorful meal.
