An elevated appetizer featuring a silky avocado–herb mousse topped with citrus-bright smoked salmon and finished with a luxurious spoonful of caviar. Clean layers, refined flavor, and a presentation that does all the talking.


Smoked-Salmon-Verrine

Ingredients (6–8 verrines)


Avocado Mousse

  • 2 ripe avocados

  • 2 tbsp crème fraîche

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp chopped dill

  • 1 tbsp chopped chives

  • Salt & pepper


Salmon Layer

  • 6 oz smoked salmon, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • 1 tbsp chopped dill

  • 1 tbsp chopped chives


Topping

  • Caviar

  • Extra herbs for garnish


Instructions for Smoked Salmon Verrine

  1. Make the avocado mousse:

    Blend avocados, crème fraîche, lemon juice, dill, chives, salt, and pepper until smooth.

    Spoon or pipe into the bottom of each verrine.

  2. Prep the salmon:

    Combine smoked salmon with lemon juice, lemon zest, dill, and chives.

    Add a spoonful on top of the avocado layer.

  3. Chill: Refrigerate for 30 minutes so the layers firm slightly.

  4. Finish: Top with caviar and a sprinkle of herbs just before serving.
